The allure of a special night view that can only be enjoyed at TOKYO SKYTREE
Supervised by: Nightscape Critic Marumaru Motoo

You can't talk about Tokyo without gazing at the night view from the Skytree.
The most distinctive features of the Skytree are undoubtedly its "height" and "location."
Needless to say, this is also an important point when it comes to enjoying a beautiful night view.
This page focuses on these two characteristics and the symbolic appeal of the Skytree itself, while also offering Skytree view viewing spots that only a night view expert would know.
I, Marumaru, will invite you on a trip to enjoy the ultimate night view.

A city that shines white like a diamond.
Unlike the warm orange hues common in nightscapes abroad, Japan's nightscapes, where fluorescent lighting is most widespread in the world, are characterized by a snow-white color. Enjoy the unique "color" of this globally rare nightscape from a bird's-eye view.

Point 2. Location
Enjoy the night view from a location overlooking the Tokyo metropolitan area.
Sumida Ward, where the Skytree stands, is located in a place where you can see not only Tokyo but the entire metropolitan area.
The night view from there shows various expressions depending on the direction and time of day.
Take your time to fully appreciate Japan's iconic night view from the panoramic Tembo Deck.

Endless highway
The Metropolitan Expressway, running along the banks of the Sumida River, winds its way endlessly. Enjoy a unique night view experience with its dancing curves, while gazing at the scenery unique to the metropolis of Tokyo and the riverbank faintly reflecting the lights illuminating the road.

A place where you can hear "Welcome home"
To the east, you can see a quiet and heartwarming View where Tobu Railway trains, running through the city's residential areas, illuminate the night. Enjoy the heartwarming night view that gives a sense of people's daily lives in the residential areas stretching out around the Arakawa River in the distance.

Tokyo, the city that never sleeps
To the west lies the night view of Asakusa, a historic downtown area. The countless twinkling red Aircraft warning lights, the Uplighting Hanayashiki amusement park, Senso- Sensō-ji Temple, and the lights of central Tokyo create an energetic and exhilarating nightscape.

Lights dancing across the night sky
Over the bay area, airplanes land at Tokyo International (Haneda) Airport like shooting stars. The neon lights of the passing planes seem to say "Welcome back" and "Welcome to Tokyo," creating a scene that makes you forget the passage of time as you watch them. Enjoy this vibrant and evocative night view.

Point 3. The appeal of the Skytree itself
The night view can only be enjoyed because of the Skytree.
The Skytree itself is one of the beautiful landmarks that becomes a symbol of the night.
On the way home after enjoying the night view from Skytree,
Why not immerse yourself in its beauty while reflecting on the place you once was?
The lighting, which changes day by day, illuminates the Tokyo night.

lighting
This new style of lighting features three distinct operations each day: "Iki" (chic/refined spirit), "Miyabi" (elegance/sophistication), and "Nobori" (Nobori), all nurtured in Edo.
In addition to the three regular lighting options, we also offer special and seasonal lighting from time to time.
