About "W1SH RIBBON"
"W1SH RIBBON" is named after the "1" in TOKYO SKYTREE, which is the world's tallest Tower, and expresses "W1SH" as the number one wish that you want to come true. In September 2020, amidst the difficult situation in Japan due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was created as a spot for people to write their own greatest Future, such as "their own greatest wish" or "a wish that they want to come true together as a group," on a ribbon and tie it up, with the hope of "supporting the feelings of all people who are overcoming this difficulty and moving forward towards a new future."

How to participate
Purchase a capsule containing ribbons of various colors and original goods from the capsule toy machine located near the "W1SH RIBBON" monument (500 yen including tax). Write your wish on the ribbon inside and tie it to the monument!
*Please take home the original merchandise inside the capsule as a souvenir.

TOKYO SKYTREE is built on a "ley line," a straight line connecting ancient ruins and sacred sites such as Mt. Fuji, Meiji Jingu Shrine, the Imperial Palace (formerly Edo Castle), and Kashima Jingu Shrine (Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture), and is said to be a place where positive energy gathers.
Nikko, home to the Nikko Toshogu Shrine, also a popular power spot, was historically considered a key location for sending the "energy" emanating from Mount Futara (Mount Nantai) to Edo Castle, and TOKYO SKYTREE is located on a "dragon vein," a pathway for this "energy." The ribbons containing your most cherished wishes will be offered at Kashima Shrine (Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture), located at the starting point of the ley line.
Kashima Shrine
Kashima Shrine is a venerable shrine with a long history, said to have been founded in the first year of Emperor Jimmu's reign (660 BC) according to the shrine's historical records. It is the head shrine of the approximately 600 Kashima shrines throughout Japan, and during the Heian period, it was deeply revered as the guardian deity of the nation. From the medieval to the early modern period, it was revered by military commanders such as Minamoto no Yoritomo and Tokugawa Ieyasu. The enshrined deity is Takemikazuchi no Okami, who has been widely worshipped as the god of war since ancient times.
We have delivered your W1SH RIBBON!
From its launch in September 2020 to the end of May 2025, the number of ribbons tied to the monument has reached over 228,000.
The precious W1SH RIBBONs, on which everyone has written their wishes, are periodically offered to Kashima Shrine in Kashima City, Ibaraki Prefecture, located to the east as seen from the Observation deck of TOKYO SKYTREE .
On Friday, May 23, 2025, a day considered auspicious for both Taian (a lucky day) and Ichiryu Manbai (a day when one seed sown yields ten thousandfold), we delivered approximately 74,000 W1SH RIBBON ribbons.
A portion of the sales from "W1SH RIBBON" will be donated to the disaster relief project "ARROWS," a flying search and medical team.
From the launch of "W1SH RIBBON" in September 2020 to the end of March 2025, the total amount donated from a portion of the sales of "W1SH RIBBON" Purchase by everyone has reached 15,997,625 yen.
TOKYO SKYTREE donated these donations to the "ARROWS" airborne search and rescue medical team, a disaster emergency relief project operated by the specified non-profit organization Peace Winds Japan, for the period of 2021-2022. The donations will be used to provide supplies to medical and welfare facilities both domestically and internationally that are fighting against the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to provide medical support to hospitals and other facilities.
Furthermore, we will continue to donate to the Group's "Disaster Emergency Relief (domestic and international disaster relief centered on medical care)" activities from 2023 onwards.

Peace Winds Japan, a specified non-profit organization
Peace Winds Japan is an international cooperation NGO that supports people both domestically and internationally who are facing humanitarian crises or livelihood crises caused by natural disasters, or by man-made factors such as conflict and poverty.
To date, we have operated in 39 countries around the world, focusing on the operation of the emergency disaster relief project "ARROWS," a flying search and rescue medical team , and activities aimed at solving social problems. We are also involved in community revitalization and animal protection and adoption activities with the goal of zero euthanasia of dogs and cats.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we began emergency support at the end of January 2020, delivering medical supplies and other materials to over 2,100 medical and welfare facilities both domestically and internationally. We believe that supporting small and medium-sized clinics and medical offices, which are often overlooked by government support, through private sector efforts is of paramount importance. Therefore, we utilize donations and other resources to provide material support to medical and welfare facilities and dispatch medical teams. Following the Noto Peninsula Earthquake on January 1, 2024, we dispatched an emergency support team on the same day and have been providing ongoing support for reconstruction efforts based in Suzu City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
