Elevator at TOKYO SKYTREE
The " Tembo Shuttle " Elevator connects the ground floor to the Tembo Deck in approximately 50 seconds, and the Tembo Deck to the Tembo Galleria in approximately 30 seconds. The Tembo Shuttle , which connects the ground floor to the Tembo Deck , travels at 600 meters per minute, making it one of the fastest large-capacity Elevator in the world (and the fastest in Japan) for a 40-passenger capacity Elevator.
The interiors of the four Tembo Shuttle connecting the ground floor to the Tembo Deck are designed to heighten anticipation for the Observation deck. Using Tradition materials and techniques passed down in the region, each of the four shuttles is fitted with art panels titled "Cherry Blossom Skies, " "Sumida River Skies," "Festival Sky," and "Miyakodori Skies," and the lighting is synchronized with the movement of the Elevator.
The two Tembo Shuttle connecting the Tembo Deck and the Tembo Galleria are 40-passenger capacity and have a see-through design. From these see-through Elevator, you can enjoy the views and look up at the elevator shaft from the ceiling, arriving at the Tembo Galleria in approximately 30 seconds (at a speed of 240 meters per minute) .

TOKYO SKYTREE lighting
The lighting of TOKYO SKYTREE utilizes state-of-the-art lighting equipment to achieve both beauty and energy efficiency. It is illuminated using an "all- LED " system consisting of a total of 2,362 lighting fixtures and a high-speed LED control system.
Normally, three types of lighting— "Iki" (representing the spirit and spirit nurtured in Edo), " Miyabi" (representing aesthetic sensibility), and "Nobori" (representing liveliness)—are illuminated alternately each day. In addition, special lighting may be illuminated to coincide with the season or events.

Design of TOKYO SKYTREE
From triangle to circle
The design of TOKYO SKYTREE is inspired by the gentle curves, or "sori" and " Convex curves ," found in Japanese swords and Tradition Japanese architecture. Furthermore, its base is made up of an equilateral triangle with sides of approximately 68 meters. The number "3" is chosen because, like the Kanae (tripod kettle) used in ancient Chinese rituals, it represents the fewest number of components needed for stability, allowing it to firmly support the structure even on a limited site and minimizing the impact on the surrounding area, such as creating a sense of oppression or casting shadows.
The structure extends upwards from the three vertices of an equilateral triangle at its base, connecting at a height of 50 meters above ground level, and becoming circular at a height of 315 meters. With a height-to-width ratio of approximately 9:1, it is a slender Tower that takes on various appearances depending on the viewing angle and location, making it a one-of-a-kind Tower in the world.

Color Palette
The color design of TOKYO SKYTREE is " SKYTREE White," an original color chosen to harmonize with the surrounding landscape and to reflect the design concept of "creating an urban landscape that transcends time and space: a fusion of Tradition Japanese beauty and Future design."
"SKYTREE White" is an original color based on "Aijiro," a Tradition Japanese color. "Aijiro" is the lightest shade of indigo dye, and its slightly bluish tint compared to pure white makes it stand out against the blue sky, creating a more vibrant impression.
